AUSA Hoops are hosting an EXCLUSIVE Melbourne Tigers Juniors USA Basketball Experience tour leaving in December 2024! The tour is tailored for players of all skill levels across teams within the U16, U18, and U20 age groups. Players will be able to immerse themselves in the American basketball culture, engage in competitive games, partake in training sessions, and experience NBA, college and high school basketball in the USA.

Players are pushed in practice, expected to attend study hall to prepare for their school exams and take care of their bodies, just like a Division I NCAA student-athlete.

We offer Boy’s AAU Tours each year in May, as well as Boy’s and Girl’s AAU Tours in June and July.
May: This tour is ideal for male athletes who have graduated the year prior to the tour. This period is the final opportunity to play AAU.
*Younger players may choose this trip for additional exposure to AAU basketball before competing again in July.
July Senior: This tour is ideal for players who are in Year 12 in the same year as the tour. This is the most important time to play AAU. If you can only attend one tour, this should be the tour you attend.
July Junior: This tour is ideal for players who are in Years 9, 10 & 11.
This tour is designed to give younger players a taste of what AAU is like (it is a different game!). It is important to help younger players understand the level they need to be at to play college basketball and to allow them some experience playing the US game.
We select our tour locations based on where we believe the best AAU tournaments will be that year.

For all US high school athletes, AAU basketball is the proving ground and pathway to the next level. At any particular AAU tournament there could be 1000+ college coaches looking for potential talent. This adds to the value of AAU basketball significantly. These tournaments give high school hoopers the chance to be seen and elevated to the next level through college basketball opportunities.
For Aussies, AAU is a golden opportunity. It's how we get noticed by US college scouts and coaches. For a US college coach, when Aussies play AAU they can evaluate you as a foreign player in an environment that they are familiar with. Nothing compares to seeing a player perform live on the court when it comes to being able to evaluate their talent.
